Welcome back or welcome to AOC! It is going to be a great academic year, and I am excited about teaching all of my students!
ACT Prep: The purpose of this course is to increase student awareness of the importance and significance of preparation for taking and improving their ACT college entrance exam score. Students will learn test tips and test information. In addition, they will increase knowledge and scores through practicing several tests on the computer. Active involvement in and successful completion of this course will lead to higher scores on the ACT. As a result, higher ACT scores make a difference in acceptance into college and scholarship offers.
Drug Education: The purpose of this course is to provide students with the current, accurate facts about legal and illegal drugs. Students learn the negative impact that drug use can have on health, relationships, education, and career. Positive decision-making is encouraged so that each student can enjoy the best experience life can offer.
Learning Strategies: The purpose of this class is to help students succeed in school by using technology to improve prior grades in courses. Students will develop effective test-taking strategies and organizational skills. Students will also improve reading comprehension, study habits, and note-taking skills.
