About the Teacher
Phyllis Shoemaker has enjoyed twenty-three years of teaching music in Mississippi and Tennessee schools. She received her Bachelor of Music Education from Mississippi College and Master of Arts in Education / Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix. She has worked as a professional in music education and church music for thirty-eight years.
Throughout the school year Mannsdale students explore all styles of music. We discover music through history, theory, listening, moving, singing, and performance. Grade level music performances are based on common core skills.
