Welcome to our website! We hope you find this website an informative tool that will give you a glimpse into the life of a Mannsdale Maverick! We are a newly constructed state-of-the-art facility in Madison, MS for students in grades K-5.
The 2012-2013 school year is our fourth year as a campus. The Madison County School District is one of the most desirable in our state and the reputation of Madison County Schools is widely known and respected. In fact, Family Circle magazine named Madison as one of the "10 Best Cities to Live" in 2007. We excel in academics, athletics and the arts. We feel a sense of community among all our schools and feel proud to start the tradition of being "Mavericks".

Mannsdale Elementary will continue on the path of excellence set in this school system. We were named a STAR school by the state of Mississippi this year. Our third graders from the 2009-2010 school year scored number one in the state of Mississippi on the mathematics portion of the MCT2.

Our building features a large library with a customized reading room and eight research stations. These stations are equipped with Destiny Quest, Accelerated Reader, STAR Reader, United Streaming/Discovery Education, Study Island and many other valuable educational tools. Hallways and classrooms are brightly colored with modern art sculptures and an alphabet floor mural in our foyer. Festive banners can be seen outside classrooms with inspirational quotes by famous authors and athletes. A multi-purpose cafetorium with a raised stage, a gymnasium, our own rock wall, an outdoor fitness center, music room and computer lab are all special features in our new building. We have a school nurse and counselor who meet with students each week. Students attend P.E., music, library, computer, science lab and art class each week.. Fourth and Fifth grade students have the opportunity to participate in Honor Choir. Mannsdale P.E. students can participate in the Mannsdale Marathoners, a "Maverick Stampede" in October and local "Punt, Pass and Kick" competitions.

Our impressive staff has been given a common planning time each day to plan arts-infused lessons among each grade focusing on master artists and authors. We have adopted a "Literacy by Design" approach to teaching reading along with guided reading lessons and writer's workshop. Our K-2 students use "Everyday Math" to learn problem solving and higher level mathematical skills. Our 3-5 students use "Envision Math". Stop by and tour our state of the art facility. Our enrollment in grades K-5 is approximately 800 students. We welcome you to our website and our school.
