Interact Interest Meeting

Agenda:

1. What is Interact?
Visit rotary.org. "Service Above Self. He Profits Most Who Serves Best."

2. How do you join?
Complete written portion of membership form. Pay $13 dues. Stay in good standing with discipline and passing grades in all classes.

3. When are officer nominations?
February, based upon merit of service.

4. Will we have a t-shirt?
Read membership form.

5. What major service projects are planned?
Veteran's Day Letters and Soldier Care Packages (see me if you have a deployed family member in Iraq or Afghanistan), Operation Christmas Child, Make A Wish and St. Jude's fundraiser.

6. Who is in Interact?
Students 9-12th grade who strive to make a difference in the community and world by serving others.

7. Besides helping others, are there other benefits to active membership in Interact?
There truly is no greater reward in life than to help another, yet in May, the sponsors will award Excellent Servant Awards to all Members in good standing. As a recipient of an ESA, you are also entitled a letter of recommendation from any sponsor for scholarship, college admission or employment.

8. How does one maintain good standing?
Take care of yourself. You cannot help others if you don't help yourself. Good grades, good discipline, good attendance at announced meetings, EXCELLENT participation during most projects.

9. Does Interact look good on a resume?
You Betcha!
