  • Residency Verification Needed

As this current year draws to a close, we are already gearing up for the 2017-2018 school year. It is time once again to submit residency verification on all students. Parents are asked to provide proof of residency each year and update other enrollment documents. This procedure maintains the attendance boundaries of Madison Crossing Elementary School set by Madison County School District.

For verification of residency, please provide a copy of two current utility bills (no cell phone bills please) and you can download the necessary Affidavit of Residency if you have moved within this school year. All of the residency documentations are currently due and will need to be submitted to the school office. If you have any questions, please call the office.

District News

  • 1:M MCS is excited to announce that we are approaching the end of our first 1:M Initiative, and over the past three years, the program has changed the way our teachers teach and our students learn.  For the 17-18 school year, all high school staff and students will receive a new MacBook Air. We will begin collecting existing MacBooks in May and the deployment of new Macbooks will begin in the summer. Additional information will be provided by your child's school prior to the pick-up process.

There has been great dialogue about allowing the Class of 2017 the opportunity to purchase a MacBook if desired.  After extensive review of the legislation regulations that allow public institutions to resale devices to students, it would not be fiscally responsible for us to sell a device to seniors at this time and impossible to sell to general public. We are working with legislators to change the law that would allow this for the future.
