I am a North Louisiana transplant that landed in Madison via marriage. I have been a counselor and teacher in the Madison County school district for 13 years. I spent 5 years at Olde Towne Middle teaching Language Arts, and also served as Counselor for grades 6-8. This is my 8th year at Madison Middle, where I have been both 6th and 8th grade Counselor. I earned a B.S. in Secondary Education from Louisiana Tech University, and a M.Ed. in School Counseling from the University of Southern Mississippi. I am also a National Board Certified Counselor (NCC), a National Board Certified School Counselor (NCSC), and a member of the Mississippi Counseling Association. My husband is Grant Montgomery, a banker with Bancorp South, and Madison Central alumni. We have a beautiful little girl named Sloane. We live in Madison, and attend Grace Crossing Baptist Church. For fun, I play tennis (badly).
