I am thrilled to be starting my second year as the principal of Mannsdale Upper Elementary. We have an exciting year ahead. This year we have moved into our new building, and we are loving it. There are over six hundred amazing students filling our school, and they are learning what it means to be a Mav.
Mannsdale Upper Elementary School is a learning community committed to building healthy minds, bodies, and character in a safe and caring environment.
I have been married to my husband Corky for twenty-seven years. We have three children, Haley, Chase and Kelsey. I enjoy traveling; I have been to thirteen different countries, reading, exercising and hanging out with my family. I taught third grade in Louisiana, sixth grade language arts in Texas and Mississippi and US History in Mississippi. I worked in administration at Germantown Middle School. I am also an adjunct professor at Mississippi College where I teach Middle Grades Reading to future elementary school teachers. I believe that reading is paramount in education and at home. Reading to and with your children daily is one of the best activities you can do to help increase their vocabulary and comprehension skills, so please read with your children as often as you can. Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
