Mrs. Katie Chew - Mannsdale K-2nd Music
“Music gives us a language that cuts across the disciplines, helps us to
see connections and brings a more coherent meaning to our world.”

About the Teacher
I received my Bachelor's degree from Delta State University. This will be my third year at Mannsdale Elementary and my sixth year teaching Music in Madison County.
My husband, Stephen, and I have been married for sixyears. Our sweet boy, Beckett, will be three this coming February.
I LOVE teaching music! I look forward to meeting you and working with your children!
About K-2nd Music:
The K-2nd grade students at Mannsdale come to Music once a week. We will sing songs, learn traditional dances, create
dances/movements, play instruments, learn about the
orchestra and various composers, explore music through literature lessons, experience a wide variety of Music styles, and learn to read and write music notation. Each grade level will also
prepare and perform various programs for their families to enjoy. I am super excited to introduce our new interactive Quaver curriculum this year. A HUGE THANK YOU to our awesome PTO for helping make that possible this year! Please check out our "What's Going On In Music" tab for more details on upcoming programs and lesson notes.
