I am very excited to have the opportunity of being the 2012-2013 Choral Director at Rosa Scott. The Rosa Scott Choral Program will consists of an SAB Choir, SSA Choir, SAB Madrigals, and Sextet. The Choir will also have the opportunity to perform selected Show Choir repertoire and choreography. I am also directed the Madison Central SSA Choir, SSA Madrigals and Sextet.
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from the University of Mississippi and a Master's of Music from Mississippi State University. I have taught on every grade level from kindergarten through college. I was honored to be named the 2010 Mississippi Educator of the Year.
For the past ten years. I was the Choral Director at Ridgeland High School. My choirs and ensembles consistently achieved Superior Ratings and "Best in Class" Awards at Invitational, District, and State Competitions. At State Competitions, the choir received the coveted Sweepstakes Award. The Choir performed at Carnegie Hall three times during the previous ten years.
