This is a good article on social media and "tweens" found on CNN.  As a parent, being proactive with your child in discussing what they do or don't do with social media is imperative these days!  Most of the time they know so much more than we do!  Please know that we have talked about letting adults know immediately if they don't recognize a name or number, or if they feel something isn't "just right" about a post, message, or picture on any form of social media - Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.  Talk with your child about boundries and the consequences of "over-sharing" your life with the rest of the world!
