The Madison Crossing Library annual Reading Fair was held on Jan. 13. This is where the students read a story and then decorated a board representing that story.
First place winners go on to District Reading Fair. The first place winners were: Division A --Avery Donald,  Division B -- Allyssa Jordan Wiley,  Division C -- Mary Ella Hester,  Division D -- Andrew Wayne Wamble, Jr.,  Division E -- Mary Logan Clark,  Division H -- Breckyn Cooper,  Division K -- Kylee Love and Maggie Carsyn  Pace,   and Division L -- Kamryn Brooke Hicks.

We had a guest author for grades 2nd - 5th on Oct. 11. The author was Tom Watson. He autographed his new book Stick Dog Slurps Spaghetti and gave the students a lesson in drawing book characters.

What a busy month we had in October. We also had our annual book fair. The book fair was very successful and I want to thank all the volunteers that help make it that way!
