 About Mrs. Casteel~~

I received my degree in Elementary Education from Mississippi State University--Go Bulldogs!!  I am a National Board Certified Teacher (2001-2011), Renewal Certification (2011-2021).  This is my 15th year at Madison Avenue!!  I have also taught in Desoto County Schools, Scott County Schools, and Petal Elementary School.  I've taught a variety of grade levels (K-6) and I always find every year to be a new adventure!

My goal is to give my students a love for learning and to challenge and motivate them to always do their best.

Personal information~ My husband, Steve, is a United Methodist minister.  My daughter, Cari, is a doctoral student at Auburn University.   My son, Matt, is International Program Director for Stop Hunger Now.  When I'm not at school--or thinking about school-- I enjoy going to the movies, reading, traveling, sewing, and tinkering on the computer and iPad.
