About the Teacher:

It is exciting to begin another year at Madison Avenue. We want to ensure that each child has a pleasant, positive learning experience. We love to see the children's faces light up when they learn new things. They are all eager and excited learners. 

 I am married to Tommy Manning. We  have 2 grown children and 2 wonderful grandchildren. My undergraduate degree is from Shorter College and my master's is from Mississippi State.  I am an active member of First Baptist Church, Madison where I enjoy being an adult substitute Sunday School teacher.  My favorite hobbies are cooking, reading, spending time with family, and shopping.  I also enjoyed cheering on the MSU Bulldogs.

My assistant teacher, Ms. Latisha Luckett, is a wonderful asset to the classroom.  She and her family live in Canton, MS.

We look forward to guiding each child to his/her potential.  We appreciate all of your help and support as we make this the best year of their education.

We will send home a weekly newsletter on Friday.  It will detail our unit study, important dates/information, and assigned homework.

Monday - Do math and phonics pages (all work needs to be turned in by Thursday)

Thursday - spelling test; retest if necessary on Friday
