Welcome to Fifth Grade!
Welcome to our wonderful classroom! I am so excited that you are here, and I cannot wait to start learning. This classroom is not just “my classroom,” it is ours. We are going to spend the first few weeks of school making it our own, as well as getting to know each other. Know that “our” door is always open. About the Teacher
First and foremost, I absolutely love teaching children. It has been a passion of mine since a very young age. This is my twelveth year of teaching. Five of those years have been at East Flora Elementary. I live in Madison with my wonderful husband, Hosea, two beautiful daughters: Akasha (15), Ashlyn (6) and precious son, Austin (1). During my free time, I enjoy reading, shopping, and spending time with family and friends.
My philosophy is that all students can learn, and that learning should be expected, encouraged, and engaging for every student. I expect this of myself as well as my students. I am very excited about this schoolyear! It is going to be such a wonderful journey.
