Welcome to Teacher Academy. Teacher Academy is a high school course designed to attract students to the field of education. The Teacher Academy pathway includes classroom and hand-on expereinces that will prepare students for employment or continuing educaiton in the education field.
Teacher Academy is a two year program that explores an introduction to teaching. Upon completion of the program, students will have logged 100 hours of classroom observation and participation.
Stephanie Peets is completing her 20th year in the field of education. She has taught in several districts around the state while accompanying her husband, Brad Peets, former administrator of Germantown Middle School. Mrs. Peets taught elementary school before moving into her current postition as Teacher Academy Instructor. The 2011-2012 school year was the first year the Teacher Academy program was implemented in Madison County. She has been with the Madison County School District for seven years. The Peets have three children attending Madison County Schools in the Germantown Zone- Brett - 9th grade, Khaki - 8th grade, and Katelyn - 5th grade.
Mrs. Peets looks forward to another great year in Teacher Academy - Especially implementing year two students this year.
